Katia has been traveling the Middle East for three decades and has acquired, maintained, and presented with commentary, her collection of special traditional embroidered garments from many Middle Eastern and North African countries. In addition Katia has produced a video "Visions of the East-A Tapestry of Life" which features many of the dresses in her collection modeled by Boston area dancers. This video was co-produced by the Arabic Hour Studio of Boston and is available through Katia.

	SIWA OASIS -White wedding dress Of Siwa in the Western Desert of Egypt. It features intricate embroidery and traditional "buttons", heavy black embroidered head scarf and embroidered pantaloons. Also shown are the heavy chain silver earrings as part of the dowry of the bride.
