On her return from three months in Egypt, Katia will present "Mashaal" a classic
oriental dance in a two day workshop for professional, advanced and intermediate dancers at Kalia Karr Studio in Lakeville! Don't miss this chance to learn from
Katia's musicality and 36 years of training, studying, performing and teaching! There will be a fashion

Katia will resume her multi-level technique classes on Tuesday nights in Lakeville, MA.

Katia will teach her 8th Middle Eastern Dance Retreat in July at the
Kalia Karr Studio in Lakeville. The brochure and complete information will be posted on the Retreat Page on January 1st.
Katia hopes to welcome many of you back to the Retreat "family" in July of 2010. Check out the Retreat page of this site for details of this

Teaching Philosophy
Katia can make a positive difference in your dance! She has inspired
thousands of students with her dedication, dance knowledge and ability to convey the essence of
the Oriental dance. Katia teaches aspiring young dancers in Middle Eastern movement
technique and coaches professionals in performance technique and
music interpretation.
Katia teaches dance workshops in classical and
folkloric styles of Oriental dance. With her years of experience in
theater as well as many years in nightclub performance, Katia feels
that "dancers need good technique and the ability to think on
their feet to live music. The study of choreography not only
inspires one with beautiful dances but increases sensitivity to
music, enhances interpretation of musical dynamics and builds dance
vocabulary for live performance."
